2016 Brown Oldenburg GOV Filly
Foal of Distinction & Premium Foal Award
This filly was the top of a very deep 2016 filly year. She wowed the inspectors with her massive movement, huge round trot and top-quality walk. She has excellent swing, a relaxed topline and a free shoulder as well as a super deep step behind. She is extremely elegant, modern and athletic. She is perfect for the rider and breeder; she has the bloodlines of top international performance horses in her pedigree. This is a filly that will require a handler used to babies; she is confident and bold and will test her handler.
Diamond Hit is an established hero among the international top sires – one of the performance-strongest offers from the parental home of Donnerhall. Diamond Hit is “purveyor” for auction sites, Bundeschampionat and World Championships of young dressage horses. Every year, numerous offspring compete in Warendorf. The licensed son Donavan became Bundeschampion of four-year old stallions in Warendorf in 2005, his daughter Loxana was the sovereign champion at the Oldenburg Elite Broodmare show in Rastede, where ten Diamond Hit daughters were named State Premium Mare. Diamantenbörse became Oldenburg Champion for three-year old riding horses and achieved the bronze medal at the World Championship for young dressage horses in 2008. In 2015 Diamond Hit presented the winning mare of the German Elite Broodmare Championships. In the meantime, the number of licensed sons has increased to 55 (e.g. Daily Deal) at different licensing sites. 71 of his progeny have been successful in advanced (S) dressage classes, although, the generations with the highest birthrate are still growing into the competing equestrian sport. The FN's predicted breeding value statistics confirms this: Diamond Hit is unchanged in the lead of all sires on national level with 146 points in 2015.
No less spectacular is Diamond Hit's sporting career: In 2002 he became Vice World Champion and Vice Bundeschampion of five-year old dressage horses. A year before, he was Oldenburg Vice Champion and Vice Bundeschampion of four-year old stallions. At the 2001 Bundeschampionat he was especially awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture for being the best licensed and performance-tested stallion. In 2005 he was proclaimed VTV-Dressage Stallion of the Year at the Oldenburg Stallion Days. Then, he competed successfully up to international Grand Prix level. In 2012, Diamond Hit retired from sport in a stirring atmosphere during the Oldenburg Old Stallion Parade.
Diamond Hit’s sire, Don Schufro, leader of FN's predicted breeding value statistics Dressage for years, was victorious internationally up to Grand Prix and earned bronze with the Danish team in Hong Kong in 2008. The dam Loretta produced first Sandro Hit followed by Diamond Hit and finally Royal Hit, so that she is probably the most influential Oldenburg mare of her generation. Ramino and Welt As, who are next in the line of ancestors, became both top performer of worldwide recognition.
Dam Rosebud is a noted broodmare, having produced Foals of Distinction in 2010, 2011, and 2012. All of her offspring have been Premium Foals or Foals of Distinction. Rosebud's dam Glestrina qualified for and competed in the Pavo Cup in Holland, and successfully competed at Intermediaire.
