Olympic Ferro / Beyondwatch (Batido / Wagner)
Dear John was a sensible mare with a calm, easy going attitude. She was an older style mare, with large bone and an athletic form. She produced three Premium foals, one of whom, Sibelius, was the 2016 USDF Champion Three-Year-Old Colt/Gelding and USDF All-Breeds (Oldenburg GOV) Champion. He was also the Reserve Champion of the GAIG/USDF Breeders Championships West Coast Series Final.
Ferro is one of KWPN’s foundation stallions, having sired more than ten licensed son, including Kennedy, Rousseau, Rhodium and Negro. A KWPN keur and preferent stallion, Ferro and rider Coby van Baalen won team silver at the 1998 World Equestrian Games, 1999 European Championships and 2000 Olympic Games. In 2000 they placed second in the World Cup Finals in ‘s Hertogenbosch, having scored over 80% for their musical kur. As a three-year-old he was champion of his performance test in Ermelo where he received 8.5 for both trot and canter.
An extremely athletic stallion, he began as a showjumper, due in no small part to his pedigree. His sire Ulft, is son of Le Mexico, who was listed 10th on the jumping index, and his dam Brenda, is a daughter of Farn, who was listed 6th on the jumping index. Ferro can be relied upon to produce beautiful, typy, talented offspring of the highest quality. Fantastic toplines and an elegant look characterize his get. In addition to their dressage excellence, Olympic Ferro's offspring also make good jumpers.
Her dam Beyondwatch was a KWPN mare, and was a foundation mare for Hidden Springs Ranch. She gave us several excellent and athletic youngsters.
